This webinar is the first in a series about HS2’s work for COP26 this November and will demonstrate the alignment to the UK Presidency’s goals for COP26, focussing on:
• Cleaner Construction – decarbonising the build of the railway.
• Resilient, reliable railway – minimising delays caused by extreme weather events.
• Green Corridor – Britain’s largest environmental project running alongside the route.
The webinar will include a live Q&A session where you will be able to ask question of the panel of experts. This will be followed by a preview of what HS2 Ltd will be doing for the COP26 summit in November.
As the UK Government’s flagship infrastructure project, HS2 is at the heart of building back better. Once operational it will transform the country for the better, levelling-up the Midlands and North. But, how it is built is as important as what is built and HS2 is an exemplar project for the environment, leading the way through innovation to decarbonise construction and make sure the railway will be resilient to a changing climate. As the world comes to Glasgow for COP26, one of over 25 HS2 station cities, find out more about what Europe’s largest infrastructure project is doing to tackle climate change.
